Escape to Deerhill Inn
Cool mornings, warm sunny days and cozy nights with bright stars - Spring has come to Deerhill Inn! Rest and recharge, hike through our woods or drive in our beautiful countryside. Leave the outside world behind and enjoy the fresh green growth of our hillsides and pastures.
On a peaceful hillside above the historic village of West Dover, Deerhill Inn looks out across the tree-clad slopes of the Deerfield Valley towards Vermont's Green Mountains and the ski runs of Mount Snow and Haystack Mountain.
It's the perfect place to relax - Vermont's clear air and peaceful countryside are soothing and calm, taking you back to another, gentler time - and the Inn is a warm, cozy, inviting sanctuary. Celebrate a special day - or a special person - in one of our beautiful and unique guestrooms with a choice of treats and indulgences to make everyone feel romantic and cared-for.
Spring and summer bring sparkling new green to the hillsides and warm, breezy weather. It's the time for hiking through the woods and biking or driving past farms with contented cows enjoying the new pasture. Visit local farm-stands for the freshest produce and sample cheese and maple syrup. Explore pretty villages with quaint little shops to browse. Galleries, museums and historic houses open for the season, together with our two international-class golf courses. Nearby lakes offer water sports. Take a guided fishing trip on the Deerfield River; try horseback riding or a carriage drive, or just pick some strawberries!
Fall offers sweeping vistas of hillsides covered with brightly-colored Foliage, changing daily. Once you've recharged and are ready for a new experience, there's plenty to do exploring Vermont's woods and farms on quiet country roads, tasting cheese, wine, beer and cider, picking apples and visiting welcoming small towns with craft, art and antique shops, galleries and great local restaurants. Hike a local trail, or ride the lift to the summit of Mount Snow for breathtaking views.
In winter Southern Vermont becomes a playground, with cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, dog-sledding and snowmobiling all near the Inn. With Mount Snow base lodge just seven minutes away, some of the best downhill skiing in the East is right on the doorstep. If you'd prefer something calmer, take a peaceful sleigh-ride through snow-covered trees, in a red Vermont sleigh behind a fine pair of perfectly-matched black Frisians. Or just enjoy the twinkling stars above the snowy hills and the bright sunshine and blue skies of a perfect winter day.
However you spend your days, your beautifully-decorated guestroom will be waiting for you when you come home. Each room or suite is unique, cozy and welcoming with luxury robes and fine bed linens complimented by L'Occitane amenities. There are coffee and tea makers and fast, free Wi-fi. With Mountain views or private decks, many rooms have jetted tubs, rainforest showers, fireplaces and TV/DVD players to make your stay extra-special.
Curl up in beside the fireplace in your guestroom wrapped in a soft robe after a soak in your own deep jetted tub, nibble on chocolate chip cookies, sip a glass of wine or a cocktail and forget the outside world for a little while. Sleep deeply in your comfy bed and in the morning, enjoy an à la carte Country Breakfast, in our Dining Rooms with their beautiful views of the tree-covered Green Mountains or privately in your own guestroom.
But above all, whenever you come and whatever you do you are always warmly welcome in our home in Vermont's unique and lovely Green Mountains. Come and see us soon!
